Developing a Proactive Export Plan
Planning for Export Growth with a Data Driven Plan

Many companies dream about building their global brand and expanding their revenues through overseas sales.  You think once you hit a certain size threshold e.g. $10M in revenue you should expand outside the USA.
Then, you realize all you don't know:  Where do we start?  Which countries do we target? Who will be responsible internally?  How much will this project cost?

It used to be that global market development was a daunting and expensive research project.  There were risks that had to be addressed: payment, currency, logistics, legal compliance, intellectual property, language etc.   You start to run up travel and personnel costs and take your eye off the current domestic market that provided the $ allowed you to consider exporting.  The payback for all this seemed too far out in the future and the project stalls due to all the uncertainty.  Your organization reverts to a reactive role and continues to be "An Accidental Exporter©."
The internet allows us to take a different approach.  An organization can gather data from their web site to help them make informed global business decisions about customers in other countries.  You start by building a strong digital platform that is culturally neutral.   Buyers will find you, just like the domestic market.  You can then gather leads prior to choosing a target market.  You can build market awareness from your existing web site platform (with a few tweaks) and start to build a brand in export markets.  Read more about his journey:   www.upsizemag.com/business-builders/international-business-2.  A focused export plan can then be built from information generated gathered from actual overseas customers.

At Dynamic Development we have built a 3- pronged process to build a focused export business plan.  We will help you conduct these steps.  The three phases are:
  1. Implement lessons learned from a recorded webinar informing companies how to optimize building a culturally neutral web site yourself so that you can attract more international buyers.  CVN had produced a recording of our one hour July 18 webinar Globalizing Your Business Online.  The link is:  LINK.  We can conduct a similar seminar on site for interested clients.
  2. Conduct a defined research project for a client specified target country market with lessons learned from Phase 1.  Create an export business plan and recommend a path to market for your products with potential partners.
  3. Invest further in your digital strategy by venturing beyond your web site and developing a more robust sales and marketing approach from SEO through the sales transaction process.
